Upholstered Furniture Care


(Sofas, Armchairs, Dining Chairs)

 

Sofas


Your sofa is crafted with high‑quality materials designed for long‑lasting comfort and support.

How to care:

Plump and rotate cushions regularly to maintain shape and even wear.

Avoid sitting on the arms or edges to protect the frame.

Vacuum weekly using a soft brush attachment.

Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub.

Use professional upholstery cleaning when needed.

What to expect:
Foam and fillings naturally soften over time. This is normal and not considered a defect.

 

Armchairs


Armchairs require similar care to sofas but often experience more concentrated use.

How to care:

Rotate and plump cushions where possible.

Vacuum regularly to remove dust and maintain fabric texture.

Avoid placing near radiators or heat sources.

Protect from direct sunlight.

Clean spills immediately.

What to expect:
Gentle creasing or softening of the seat cushion is normal with regular use.

 

Dining Chairs


Dining chairs experience frequent, short‑term use and benefit from simple, consistent care.

How to care:

Wipe wooden or metal legs with a soft, dry cloth.

Vacuum upholstered seats weekly.

Use felt pads under legs to protect flooring.

Avoid standing on chairs or leaning back on two legs.

What to expect:
Minor movement in joints over time is normal. Tighten screws periodically if applicable.

 

Upholstery Fabrics


Bouclé


Bouclé is soft, textured and sculptural.

How to care:

Vacuum gently with a soft brush.

Avoid snagging.

Blot spills immediately.

Use professional cleaning for deeper care.

Expected characteristics:
Pilling may occur naturally and can be removed with a fabric shaver.

 

Velvet


Velvet has a directional pile and luxurious sheen.

How to care:

Brush lightly in the direction of the pile.

Avoid direct sunlight.

Blot spills — do not rub.

Use specialist velvet cleaning when needed.

Expected characteristics:
Shading and pressure marks are normal.

 

Woven Fabrics


How to care:

Vacuum weekly.

Blot spills immediately.

Avoid harsh chemicals.

Rotate cushions.

Expected characteristics:
Softening and gentle stretching over time.

 

Wood Care (Solid Wood & Veneer)


How to care:

Dust regularly.

Clean with a damp cloth and dry immediately.

Use coasters and placemats.

Avoid heat sources and direct sunlight.

Use pH‑neutral wood care products.

Expected characteristics:
Natural grain, knots and colour variation.

 

Real Leather


Real Leather — Clean with a soft, damp cloth; nourish occasionally with a leather conditioner.

How to care:

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Use a high‑quality leather conditioner every 6–12 months.

Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Blot spills immediately — do not rub.

Avoid harsh chemicals and alcohol‑based cleaners.

What to expect:
Natural markings, subtle colour variations and softening over time are part of genuine leather’s character.

 

Eco‑Leather (High‑Durability Faux Leather)


Eco‑Leather — Durable and easy to maintain; wipe gently with a soft cloth.

How to care:

Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if needed.

Avoid abrasive sponges and strong chemicals.

Keep away from direct heat sources.

Do not use leather conditioners (only for real leather).

What to expect:
Eco‑leather maintains its appearance well and is resistant to everyday wear.

 

Nubuck


Nubuck — Brush gently to maintain the soft, velvety texture.

How to care:

Use a nubuck brush to restore the nap.

Avoid water — nubuck is sensitive to moisture.

Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth.

Use a specialist nubuck protector spray.

Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

What to expect:
Nubuck develops a natural patina and subtle shading over time — this is a hallmark of the material.

 

Metal Care


How to care:

Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Avoid abrasives.

Dry thoroughly.

Use metal polish sparingly if suitable.

Foam & Cushion Care
How to care:

Plump cushions regularly.

Rotate where possible.

Expect natural softening with use.

 

Stone Surfaces


Sintered Quartz
Durable, heat‑resistant and non‑porous.

How to care:

Clean with warm water and mild detergent.

Use soft cloths only.

Wipe spills promptly.

Use trivets for hot items.

Avoid harsh chemicals.

Expected characteristics:
Highly resistant to stains and scratches; minor marks from daily use may appear.

 

Marble


A natural stone with unique veining.

How to care:

Clean with pH‑neutral stone cleaner.

Avoid acidic substances.

Wipe spills immediately.

Use coasters and placemats.

Avoid abrasives.

Expected characteristics:
Marble develops a natural patina; subtle etching is normal.
