Tabletop Wood Grades

The Cagliari tabletop is crafted from 4 cm thick oak wood, available in three grades:

  1. RUSTIC Grade: Perfect for industrial style enthusiasts. This wood features a variety of knots and cracks filled with black resin to emphasize the material's character. These elements do not affect the wood's durability or stability but highlight its natural beauty.

  2. NATURAL Grade: A balanced choice between rustic and select classes. The wood contains ingrown knots and minor cracks, with oak fillings, ideal for those who prefer more understated furniture.

  3. PRIME Grade: Ideal for those who prefer a cleaner look without prominent knots and fillings. However, pencil knots up to 1 cm and small oak fillings may appear.

All grades may exhibit natural discolorations, color variations, and grain differences between the boards, adding unique character to each wooden tabletop.

Protective Finish

The tabletop is standardly protected with OSMO 3065 oil-wax. Besides the transparent oil-wax, we offer additional wood stain options.

Extendable Table Feature

The Cagliari table is also available as an extendable option, featuring 1 or 2 leaves of 45 cm or 60 cm each. This allows you to increase the table's surface area when needed, with the leaves storable externally. It's important to note that leaves are only purchasable with the table, as non-extendable tables lack the mechanisms for later installation.

The rectangular table extends by adding leaves to the top, ensuring a continuous grain pattern between the tabletop and leaves. The extension is intended for occasional use, maintaining the table's original design both before and after extension. Moreover, it lacks a skirt, enhancing user comfort.

Edge Profile Options

The standard rectangular oak tabletop features a straight edge. Other edge finish options include:

  • Beveled edge (along the length)

  • Undercut (along the length and width)

  • Reverse bevel edge (along the length and width)

  • Live Edge - beveled with wave (along the length)

The Cagliari oak tabletop in lens shape is standardly designed with a deep undercut.

Sandblasted Finish

The Cagliari oak tabletop can also be sandblasted for an "antique" look, enhancing the wood's texture along the grain. Sandblasted tops do not feature black-filled knots or cracks as standard tops do.

Sleek Metal Legs

The base of the Cagliari Oak Dining Table features two metal legs made from 4 mm thick sheet metal. Standardly, the table legs are powder-coated in selected colour to ensure maximum adaptability to your home decor.
