Personalisation Options

One of the defining features of the Harvard chair is its exceptional customisability. You have the opportunity to become the designer of your own armchair. Choose from a wide selection of textile colours, wood finishes for the legs, and add refined details such as trimmings, knockers or tacks.

Textiles

You can choose from four textile groups. Once you select the fabric that interests you, simply choose the appropriate Price Group and leave a note at checkout with the exact colour name.

Tacks and Trimmings

For added embellishment, you may choose small tacks on tape (9.5 mm) or large single tacks (18 mm), available in silver, gold or patina. Trimmings around the backrest can also be customised in your chosen colour and fabric from the same price group.

Metal Knockers

A metal knocker can be added to the backrest, available in silver, gold or patina, offering a refined and sophisticated finish.

Quality and Sustainability

The legs of the Harvard chair are crafted from high‑quality beech wood sourced within the EU. After colouring, they are double‑lacquered with a Swiss varnish that is safe for both people and the environment. Each leg is fitted with a felt pad to protect your floors from scratches.

Comfort and Certification

The chair is upholstered using high‑quality foams from a reputable manufacturer: 25 kg/m³ for the backrest and sides, and 35 kg/m³ for the seat. All foams are certified with the Oeko‑Tex Ecological Certificate, ensuring both comfort and sustainability.

Whether used as a dining chair or a lounge armchair, the Harvard chair by MEK Design offers a perfect balance of customisation, comfort and refined craftsmanship.

Two‑Tone Upholstery Option

This model is also available in a refined two‑tone upholstery finish. You may choose one fabric for the seat and inner back, and a second fabric for the outer back, creating a beautifully tailored, bespoke look that highlights the sculptural form of the chair.

There is no additional charge for selecting a two‑tone finish.
However, if your chosen fabrics come from different Price Groups, the final price will be calculated according to the higher Price Group.

To complete your customisation, remember to include the names of your selected fabrics in the order notes at checkout — one for the inner back/seat and one for the outer back.
